“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 In the last 8 months God has pressed upon my heart something I never knew I wanted to be…an entrepreneur.
Last fall I was immersed in Bible study at my church and was struggling with my organization. This is an area of my life I am usually very good at, as I am a teacher…but I have never found a system that really met me where I needed it to. I have scoured Pinterest, Etsy, blogs, etc. to only come up with disappointment. There are many super cute and purposeful planners to help with my everyday life, as well as printables for my prayer life…but nothing gave me a way to organize my life around what matters most all in one place. After much searching, God started nudging me to make it happen.
I knew I needed sections of printables to help with Bible study, prayers, planning, and more. I also wanted a place to put all of my art supplies, paper clips, and post its…but most of all I wanted to be able to transport my Bible with all of these organized sections. (and it had to be super cute! haha) I had no idea where to start and put off this idea several times, but God was patient and persistent.
After the holidays, I started seriously talking with my husband about the possibilities of this new venture and we agreed that it was something we needed to make a priority. I prayed and researched during the next few months and was faced with multiple “no’s”, but I kept contacting vendors. I finally found a few that could do what I needed.
The lovely Maghon from All She Wrote Notes helped me with the logo that is a bow made of two “b’s” for The Bible Binder. The next decision was what kind of color pattern to use…that’s when I found Cass Deller. She hand painted a beautiful water color floral design that was inspired by Isaiah 40:8 “Flowers may fade, but the word of God stands forever.”
Once we had the vision together we made the final decisions. Navy is my favorite color and a pretty neutral color, so we went with that for our first binder. Maghon helped me with my vision of the worksheets and I ended up creating the final drafts. The last touch was a clear pouch for those art supplies I love so much!
I knew I wanted the look of the binder to be high quality and something to make my organizer heart pitter patter…the gold corners, gold rings, and gold foil logos do just that!
One of the biggest details I needed to include was a way to transport your Bible in the binder. I didn’t want a “book cover” per say…or a way to permanently hold the Bible. Just needed something to be able to help move the Bible with the binder from place to place. The interior pocket seemed to be the perfect solution. I am so very excited about how the first shipment of binders came out…but none of this would’ve ever happened without God’s unfailing grace!
The Bible Binder™ was never on “my” radar, but God knew this was coming for a long while. We have put a ton of hard work, love, and prayer into this project.
The binders were put together in my (currently being renovated) kitchen area to the sounds of Kari Jobe and toddler toys…a complete labor of love.
When you receive your binder, know that I have prayed over each one while packaging each piece and taping up each box myself.
When it came time to announce this project (with the TBB proof since the real binders weren’t ready yet), I chose to share it at a women’s conference I was speaking at. God knew exactly what he was doing, because those ladies were a huge source of encouragement!
I was filled with such nervous excitement for the launch and sharing the message that with each kind word I was reassured that this was God’s will.
Thank you to all who have pre-ordered and everyone who has supported this dream! I never thought this would be part of my story, but I am so thankful it is!
Confused about how it works? I plan to carve some time out very soon to take more pictures and videos of TBB, but for now I have this “How to” video showing how your Bible fits in the binder!
