Teacher Tuesday: Number Turkeys

Students chose a two-digit number and five different ways to represent it. They were given a menu of options for representation (estimate to nearest ten, model in base ten blocks, create and answer a word problem, model division, fact families, write in expanded and word forms). Once we went over it in a whole group setting, students worked independently on the math problems. After completing the five ways to represent their number, students were given a turkey and five feathers to color. They were then reviewed, graded, and sent home to live on refrigerators throughout this Thanksgiving weekend! 🙂
