Teacher Tuesday

I recently have been putting the final touches on my navy & pink nautical classroom. Today I finally put up one of my fave quotes: “A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.” I still have a few bows and anchors to add, of course. 🙂  Now, the main thing I want to share with you today is the “Work Stations” side of my classroom. I printed off the letters from the computer, cut, and laminated them. For the long bulletin board, I used several foam boards and fabric from Hobby Lobby…as well as old bulletin board border and a ton of hot glue! lol  This side of my classroom is used as a small group area for my students. I make sure to have the most recent skills posted to aide in student learning and support as group work is in progress.

I’m sooooo in love with your classroom!!! If I hadn’t spend a small fortune on my black fabric bulletin board backgrounds I would totally be using your ideas! I was wondering if you would be so kind as to share how you created the bows that you used on your boards? Thank you for sharing your beautiful classroom! Jessica

Thank you so much! I just looped a piece of thick outdoor ribbon hot glued to make the top and then two separate shorter pieces hot glued for the bottom part. I had extra ruffly pink ribbon and cut it and hot glued it to the middle! 🙂
