Starbucks Medicine Ball DIY

Starbucks has the best cold remedy in their Medicine Ball drink! Unfortunately, for me…the closest Starbucks is 40 minutes away. *Cue the tears* This week month has left my family run down with sickness. Stomach flu, strep, and now I have felt terrible all week with congestion. The Starbucks Medicine Ball is great for coating your throat and clearing out your sinuses! I would love to have one every.single.day. Well, with the help of Pinterest and my husband, we’ve made our own concoction. I think it tastes a little better!

You need:

  1. Lemonade

  2. Honey

  3. Mint Tea (whichever you like)

  4. Peach Tea (whichever you like)

I use my Keurig and put one tea bag of each inside of a reusable k-cup filter.  Before I hit start, I fill my mug up a little less than half way with the lemonade. Squirt as much honey as you would like in the mug (a spoon full or two does the trick) and then place it under the Keurig.  Press the start button for however large your mug is. (most likely the smallest size, since it is already filled with lemonade, too) Once it is finished, stir it up. It may not be as hot as you would like because of the cold lemonade it’s mixed with.  So, what I like to do is heat it up for 30 seconds in the microwave. *Make sure you have it in a microwave save mug!* I put an extra mint tea bag in my mug when I’m finished to make sure I can taste the mint, but that’s up to you! Enjoy!
