{OLW 2013} Introducing ::Trust::

{OLW} is an addition to Proverbs Living for 2013! A sweet follower inspired me to look into “One Little Word” and find the one word that I need to focus on in the new year. I chose TRUST. This {OLW} covers many areas of my life that I know I can improve upon, with the main being *Trust in God*.

I asked for strength & God gave me difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for wisdom & God gave me problems to solve.
I asked for prosperity & God gave me brain & brawn to work.
I asked for courage & God gave danger to overcome.
I asked for love & God gave me troubled people to help.
I asked for favors & God gave me opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted…
I received everything I needed.

When thinking of all of the downs of 2012, I now understand why God allowed them to happen… Then I think of all of the ups I received and feel a great amount of thankfulness. I am so very blessed! I need to work on trusting God’s will for my life and accepting it instead of questioning it. If my relationships, friendships, careers, hobbies, etc were perfect I would not be able to relate to those around me.  I believe with my whole heart that God fashioned me to be a beacon of His light to share with others.  I need not ask “Why” but “How” in the days to come.  When I start trusting God I will start receiving everything I need to serve Him, instead of everything I think I want for myself.

I am a first time journaler and this was the first entry I made:

God Bless & Trust in God,

    I love that you highlighted what God have you in response to your prayers. I am always amazed when I ask God for patience and I am put in a situation where I have to wait. How else would I know that God granted me patience, than to be tested in that area or provided the opportunity to exercise that desire. Love this post! I look forward to seeing your trust in action in 2013!
