{Motherhood} Unconditional Love

This world is consistently changing. Presidents, coworkers, friends, and even extended family may come and go… My son, Rypken, is my constant. I will always be his mother. He will always be my son.  He will never look for my flaws first.  I will always forgive him no matter what mistakes he makes.  No mental games, no competition, no envy… We share unconditional love without judging or second guessing.

This is exactly how God’s love is! Our Heavenly Father is a gracious God.  He will always support me, comfort me, love me, and forgive me no matter the choices I have made.  I am human, I make bad choices, I put my foot in my mouth, and I envy those around me at times. The Lord is always there to lead me to the right path.  When I read His word and choose to listen to His calling I set my self up for success instead of failure.  God loves me either way, but he longs for me to be a successful Christian.  That will only happen if I choose to make it happen.  That is how I want Rypken to feel about me as a mother…knowing that I fully support him no matter what choices he makes, but I long for him to know Christ as his personal Savior.  I am so blessed to come home after a rough day and look into those big blue eyes that melt away all of my stresses.  I pray that he makes the right decision in his future and hope to see him in Heaven one day. Thank you Lord for the blessing you gave to me in my son…

“Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

Hi. I love this comparison. Sometimes the trouble my children get into causes me to delight in them more after I see the humility and remorse they show. I also love your envelope project. Fun ideas.
