“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Proverbs 31:25

I don’t know about you, but this verse always slaps me in the face. I worry about everything! Proverbs 31:25 is saying that we should laugh at the days to come, not dwell on them. Trusting God is such a difficult thing, especially in times of struggle. All of the “what ifs” drown our minds with negativity.

It is so easy to get caught up in everything that could go wrong in our lives. Just for a second, think about how your life would change if you chose to laugh (be happy in) your future. Crazy, eh?

You may be thinking, “Yeah right, Jessica. You don’t know the stresses I’m under at work/at home/in my relationships/with bad health…”

You’re right, I don’t. But guess what?

God does!

Our Heavenly Father wants you to trust in Him so much that instead of worry consuming your thoughts, Christ will. Seek him in times of doubt, and I bet the future won’t be such a scary place.

    Thank you for the encouragement!

I’m a huge worrier and in turn, very controlling. I have a hard time with surprises but am getting better at it. All with God’s help, of course!

God is so cool! He always orchestrates things so perfectly. I am an anxious person. Anxiety that is almost crippling sometimes. I also worry about everything. I am learning that God’s command is to not worry. Not His suggestion–His command. Love these verses and love this post! So glad to have come upon your blog today through Women Living Well!
