{31 Day Fall Challenge} Week 2

This week’s challenge:

Play soft music everyday in your home. Choose worship, classical or another form of peaceful music that the family enjoys. I’ll be playing Christmas music! Focus on using peaceful words and maintaining peaceful relationships. Work on gentleness this week.

Sorry I am a little late on posting last week’s WLW Fall Challenge! Busy weekend!
Week 2 challenged us to play music in your home.  With my husband coaching basketball and Rypken’s birthday plans to be made, I’m sad to say we were not at home a whole lot this past week.  I can assure you, though, that music is a big part of my family.  I have grown up on stages of churches around the area we live.  My mom’s side of the family sings gospel music {The Wallens}, and has since she and her 7 siblings could talk. Rypken comes from a long line of musicians and I can guarantee he will enjoy making music in some way. I can remember Rypken being in my belly as we would practice for upcoming events and he would kick as I would sing… Since he has been born, music seems to calm him. Even though soft music was not played consistently in my house this week for the WLW Fall Challenge, music is still at the center of my sweet family.

Here we are {The Wallens} singing at the annual Mid-America Gospel Music Association concert at the beginning of this month.

Don’t forget about Week 3: Cooking!!! We are challenged to focus on the heart of our home, the kitchen. Cook things that smell wonderful and include your children if they are old enough! I hope you join me in striving to make my house a loving home this month!

God Bless & Happy Homemaking,
