{31 Day Fall Challenge} Week 1

Courtney from Women Living Well started the {31 Day Fall Challenge} and today is the last day for week 1. She challenged her readers to:

Go buy an extra large candle and light a candle everyday in your home. I will be starting mine in the morning! But you can start yours at dinner time. Do what makes sense for your family. I will be placing mine in the kitchen – the main hub of my home. Each time the candle catches your eye, say a prayer for peace in your home.

I used my Scentsy burner until I grabbed my favorite candle {Circle E “Bird of Paradise”} from the top cabinet. I put it on my kitchen table and lit it every time I was home.  As I walked through my house this week, the flame reminded me to pray for my home and those within it.  I prayed for God to watch over us and bring peace to any decisions/issues that we may have faced, are facing, or will face.  The candle also inspired me to do housework that I would’ve otherwise ignored for later.  I encourage you to join in on this challenge not just to make your house cleaner, but to make your house a HOME!  Next week, week 2, challenges us to play soft music in our home everyday and to work on gentleness.

Proverbs 14:1 says: β€œThe wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.”
God Bless & Happy Home Making,
